Subject: USS Brush in World War II
Dear Sir
According to my mother, her brother, George Schabloske (1918-1994), was
stationed on the USS Brush during World War II. We know he was in the
Navy and was discharged in 1946. Is there any way I can get any offical
doumentation of this? I would appreciate any help I can get on this.
She also related a story that once while in battle, the ship was struck,
damaging the rudder and that the Brush was going in circles. Her brother
worked to repair the damage, and that he never had worked so fast in his
life.
Could you also confirm that this ever occurred in WWII.
Thank you were much.
